Music & Sound

DJs, live bands and ensembles, plus the sound system and the engineer who makes them audible in a room with a hard ceiling.

The most common music mistake at a private event is booking talent and not booking sound. A superb quartet through an inadequate PA in a marble room is worse than a decent playlist. We supply both, and we specify the system against the actual venue rather than a generic package.

Talent covers DJs, live bands, string quartets, saxophonists, violinists, percussionists who play over a DJ set, pianists and MCs. The saxophonist-over-DJ combination is the most requested thing we do in this category, and it is genuinely effective at lifting a room without changing the energy.

We handle the sound design, the engineer, the microphones for toasts, and the cueing between speeches, performances and music. If you have a performer booked with us, the music and the choreography are already talking to each other.

Frequently asked

Do we need a separate sound system if we book a band?
Usually yes. Most bands bring backline, not a room PA — and rooms with hard surfaces need a system specified for them.
Can a saxophonist play over our DJ?
Yes, and it is our most requested combination in this category. It lifts the room without changing the energy.
