Stilt Walkers
Costumed performers at nine or ten feet, roaming a crowd — height, drama, and the easiest photograph at the party.
Stilt walkers solve a specific problem: a large open space with nothing drawing the eye upward. Outdoors, in a tent, or across a big festival footprint, they give the crowd something to move toward and photograph.
Costuming is where the character comes from — Venetian, art deco, futuristic LED, botanical, circus, or themed to a brand. Working height is nine to ten feet, which means we need overhead clearance of at least twelve feet and a stable, level surface. Grass is fine if it is firm; loose gravel, sand and steep slopes are not.
They work at adult events and children's parties equally well, with different costuming and a different manner. For kids we brief for approachability, because a silent ten-foot figure is genuinely frightening to a four-year-old.
